Mountain Trails Camp is located at 8400 ft. in elevaton in the pristine San Juan Mountains, Alamosa Canyon, 30 miles southwest of Monte Vista, CO. Mountain Trails is a rustic camp dedicated to working with and designing camps for groups.
Mountain Trials is a non profit organization and due to the retreat in finances over the last few years economy, we are looking for interns that will be dedicated to learning about outdoor recreation with certifications in rock climbing and rappelling, low and high ropes course, and First Aid/CPR. Wilderness First Responder current certification is a plus. You will have free room and board and $300 a month stipend. You will be expected to stay at the camp in the wilderness setting. We have the Alamosa River running through the camp and it is stocked with trout. We will expect you to be on your best behavior and set a good example for the youth in our care. We ask that you represent the camp putting your best foot forward. You will be a role model for those you are working with both during camp and after you are in town. We are a small community. We ask that there be no alcohol or drugs used while in our employ. You will be required to be checked with fingerprints through the FBI and the state CBI along with child registry.
