Spotlighters Theatre is a local theatre company with a 50 year history of exception, diverse and creative performances. The Young Actors Academy, established in 2005, seeks to provide an Academic / Conservatory approach to theatre and acting for lower, middle and high school students, over a 5 week (130 hour) summer intensive. Students are presented methods, techniques and acting theory and concepts in classroom settings, but are also provided extensive scene study time to explore the practical side of theatre. Students are taught was local, regional and international theatre professionals.
