We seek to educate the public through educational programs, special events, walking tours, performances, arts and historical exhibitions, a website, research publications and informative literature in order to raise public awareness of the East Village/Lower East Sides historic significance and influence in world history and provide means to nurture community self-awareness and sensitivity to historical struggles of immigrant communities, unions, outsider political, countercultural and community-based fledgling arts movements.
