SpaPops sprung from the realization that the simple “Popsicle” in the United States had become a generic experience. Think Kleenex. Think post-it. Think Xerox. Think boring. This truth rangclearly for Ed Peterson during a recent stay in San Miguel, Mexico, where as a cook at heart, he tried the local culinary desert, the paleta. Mango. Pepper. Bean. Cactus. Flavors changed daily, but one constant remained: exciting taste. That’s anything but boring. Ed became obsessed.
How could such wonderfully exciting artisanal flavors exist across our Southern Boarder while we’re stuck with generic popsicles? We handcraft Spapops with only natural ingredients—fresh fruit, herbs, spices…Several Spapops flavors are available seasonally. Unlike mass produced frozen pops laden with preservatives, Spa pops are made to be eaten and don’t sit anywhere for months or even years.
