Korean Community Development Services Center (KCDSC) was established as a non-profit organization in 1985 with the goal of providing a comprehensive array of services for low to moderate income individuals in the community. These services include housing counseling, immigration assistance, child care, after school programs, urban revitalization, senior social services, and certification testing. Our strategy is to establish a one-stop comprehensive service in cooperation with outside agencies in order to provide all necessary services for our clients.KCDSC’s primary service area is the Olney neighborhood of the city of Philadelphia and the nearby neighborhoods of Logan, East and West Oak Lane, and Lower Northeast. The Center is located in zip code 19120, in census tract 275. Many of KCDSC’s clients are residents of census tracts 274 and 275, with the following demographics: 47% African-American, 21% white, 18% Asian-American, 15% Hispanic, 8% other races, and 5% two or more races.
