The United States Association of Value Engineering (USAVE) was created to help Owners, Design Professionals, and Construction Professionals get the most “value” out of their building projects. Value has many different meanings, especially between the various project stakeholders. Reduced upfront cost, reduced life-cycle cost, building longevity, building performance, energy savings, building aesthetics, building maintenance, construction productivity and safety, corporate branding, and sustainability are all components of “value.” USAVE will strip down all of the misconceptions associated with the term “value engineering” and provide its’ members tools and resources that will help them maximize value.
