Description:

Hello! My name is Natalie Ashodian, and I am the CEO of a pending not for profit (501 c3) called Dandelion Experiments which works primarily in new media education and outreach projects. I am currently looking for an intern to help me get a few projects rolling this summer in the Berkeley area. If you have any experience in production management, and/or film and web 2.0, and like to work on your own schedule as a self starter then this may be for you!

Dandelion Experiments first major project is based at Docuwebisode.com. A documentary about web 2.0/3.0 shifts in distribution and promotion. Major interviews are taking place with industry content creators and distributors. We are also looking at Croudsourcing aspects of the project and editing itself.

More about my biggest current project:

Where are you Online is a Docuwebisode project exploring the shift from entertainment to intertainment. People creating content spend most of their lives trying to find loopholes and secret entry ways into an industry that prides itself on being closed. We have a unique opportunity to document a shift in media, technology, entertainment, and our whole societys view on Who can be an artist? We are enthralled with the idea that the gates have opened, and we are here to see what happens during and after the flood. Please see our web site for more info. on who we are and what we are doing. www.docuwebisode.com and send a resume and short cover letter in the body of the email letting me know when you are available to talk in person, and a bit about what you think you can offer if involved. People with more then one skill will have the upper hand!

Qualifications:

The available position with Dandelion Experiments/Docuwebisode is one best suited for a student who could gain some hands-on experience and school credit while making a decent living part-time.

Overall I am looking for someone with experience or a skill set conducive to learning about managing a not for profit, grant writing, donor research, and corporate sponsorship allocation. In addition, if you feel you could contribute more as an intern working directly on the filming and/or editing, I am open to hear from you as well.

We have several other projects planned in the future, so if you are someone looking to work in media and/or a non profit sector, we want to hear from you. Please have access to phone and Internet that is dependable. Good written and vocal skills are a must! Previous work in web design/programing, sound or film a plus as we are always looking for multi tasking artists to work with.

Set your own schedule with bi-weekly check-ins and earn a salary based on what you gain in support for the project as well as compensation based on weekly work before funding is found. If any travel is involved (we have gone to LA several times this year) travel would be paid for.

Self Starter is a big job application buzz word, but here at DE/Docuwebisode we mean it, and will reward for it.
