Providge Consulting seeks an intern to help build a new practice in the Healthcare Information Technology industry. Even before the attention this industry is now receiving from the Obama administration and the media, Providge believed that it was a market worth pursuing – both for its potential commercial success and its social impact. We now seek an intern to participate in marketing the practice we are currently developing, primarily branding and synthesizing our research and model into compelling advertising and informational documents. The ideal candidate will have or be working toward a marketing degree, possess limitless energy and passion for healthcare or social impact, and enjoy being creative in an uncertain environment with limited direction. Healthcare industry experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities:

Synthesize info – including the location of additional detail where necessary – into marketing and sales documents.

Assist with product pricing models.

Create market assessment, including revenue and cost projections.

Assist with all aspects of branding the practice.

Assist with publicity campaign: press releases, announcements, DTC emails, and other channels.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in marketing or demonstrated marketing experience. Advanced degree (even in progress) preferred.

Exceptional oral and written communication skills, unparalleled attention to detail.

Ability to work with limited supervision – must be a self-starter!

While the internship is unpaid, we anticipate going from near-concept phase to revenue-generation by year-end 2009. This intern will have participated in the delivery of a profitable business for an award-winning consulting firm.
