Job Responsibilities
Difference Makers International is looking for a dynamic Research Intern to work in the Development Department assisting with database management, donor prospecting and special events. This is a fantastic opportunity to get hands-on experience working for a non-profit organization and learning the intricacies of fundraising.

Description
Research Intern will support research and administrative functions. Research Intern must possess strong research, analytical and writing skills. We are looking for an individual who has great computer skills is a quick learner, highly organized, detail-oriented, comfortable with working in team environment and independently, and able to handle large amounts of information and data.

Specific responsibilities include:
o Conduct internet and literature research
o Collect and analyze data and information through research, interviews and surveys
o Assist with scheduling, developing agendas, preparing and disseminating materials
o Assist grant writers with research and writing
o Assist community outreach organizers with research, communication and material preparation
o Assist key staff with research and administrative tasks
o Perform other support tasks as needed

Qualifications:

Requirements
Excellent attention to detail; proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, especially Word and Excel; highly organized and ability to complete tasks on time; superb writing and research abilities.
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
- Able to think out of the box, with an interest in learning new things
- Ability to multi-task and work on multiple projects at once

Intern hours are flexible with the option of working remotely 85% of the time, but will require 2-5 office hours every week. Unpaid but can earn school credit.
