Summary: The Marketing Intern will assist in the company’s PR/Marketing/Advertising efforts to develop and implement innovative outreach programs to create awareness of and interest in the company and our services. The ideal candidate has a strong interest and experience in Marketing and PR, and is a team player with a proactive, “anything it takes” attitude.

Duties and Responsibilities:
 Maintain and update website with content
 Design company newsletter template
 Draft press releases and pitch letters
 Develop online and offline ad copy
 Assist with online advertising, including Google Analytics and Adwords
 Advise on new potential marketing channels for the company to pursue
 Assist in the development of company blog and/or newsletter
 Special projects as required

This internship will give a student the opportunity to gain valuable experience in the marketing field. Students are welcome to request credit hours.

Qualifications:

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: In this role attention to detail and a strong ability to multi-task are key. In addition, we are looking for someone that is excited and passionate about our brand and can convey that to any audience.
 Exhibit excellent writing, phone, presentation and follow up skills
 Must be highly organized, resilient, and self-directed and be able to take direction
 Must have exceptional attention to detail
 Familiar with social networking, online advertising and other non-traditional marketing channels
 Proficient with the MS Office Suite and Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
 Work well both independently and on a team

Education and Experience Requirements:
 Some college education, preferably in Marketing, Advertising, Graphic Design, Journalism or related
 Some prior experience in writing for PR/Marketing/Advertising purposes
 Intermediate knowledge and skills in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
