Heel Your Sole

Mission:
Heel Your Sole, Inc. is a not-for-profit organization designed to empower low-income and at-risk youth through education, mentoring, and skill building workshops.

Company Overview:
Heel Your Sole, Inc., is a 501 Β© (3) not-for-profit organization whose mission is to create independence and self-sufficiency for disadvantaged youth through tailored curriculum based instruction, mentoring, and life skills training. Heel Your Sole is guided by the principles of collaboration, community engagement, and responsibility.

Our organization design model uses grass roots volunteering and mentoring to grow successfully. We encourage each volunteer that comes into the school needs to refer at least one additional person to Heel Your Sole. We want to create a ripple effect in each community we service. Start with an initial splash of local volunteers and schools, frequent message reinforcement and loyal support from brand ambassadors, and from there, each positive association or interaction continues to expand throughout the community.

Become part of the SOLEution.

Our Programs:
Heel Your Sole implements a unique approach composed of creative volunteer opportunities, support for low-income and at-risk youth between the ages of 12 and 21, and tailored in-classroom instruction for elementary schools.

The cornerstone of the program is volunteerism, which is one of the simplest and most effective ways to change the life of a disadvantaged youth. At Heel Your Sole, we believe that volunteering shouldn’t be boring, which is why we offer a variety of different opportunities. Activities may include a healthy eating and cooking session, educational and career goal setting workshops, a service project, or even an afternoon of playing hoops with the kids.

The second element of Heel Your Sole’s program is the continuing support of low-income and at-risk youth. Our work with disadvantaged youth between the ages of 12-21 has become a FUNdamental part of our company. We recognize that most disadvantaged youth often lack the necessary skills, guidance, and information to enter into the real world, so we empower our youth through mentoring, activities, and financial assistance. It is our job to provide opportunities to help disadvantaged youth escape this cycle and give them the tools they need to work their way out from underneath the overwhelming statistics.

The third component of Heel Your Sole’s program is in-classroom, skill building workshops. Heel Your Sole developed a curriculum program for elementary schools based on the unique needs of low-income and at-risk youth specifically tailored for that age group. There is a high concentration of impoverished youth in need of greater academic support and services. The faster we create a community committed to fostering educational growth in at-risk and impoverished youths, the less likely it is that another generation will face the same odds.
