An exciting intern opportunity for a social media/copy-writing specialist to work within a new travel company.This is a unique internship that will report directly to the Director who is UK based, but works remotely and is often travelling - making this a truly international company with no boundaries! Therefore you are not required to come into an office and can work from home! The role is also part-time it is ideal if you need to also work to supplement your income.
The intern will be lead by the Director through email and skype meetings, but will also need to be highly autonomous, creative with excellent English skills and preferably past experience in blogging/social media and/or PR, marketing. Your top focus will be your responsibility for developing & implementing the social media strategy; maintaining and growing social and online audiences on facebook/twitter and pinterest.
Key Tasks include:
• Day-to-day management and monitoring of all social media channels, analysis and reporting.
• Working closely with the director and PR campaigns to tie-in.
• Sourcing and creating relevant, engaging and exciting social media content which supports strategic key messages
• Monitor social media trends and opportunities
• Researching influential social media contacts and bloggers
• Managing image libraries for use in campaigns
• Researching and suggesting new areas for the travel/lifestyle website.
Qualifications:
Desired Skills & Experience
The most suitable intern for this position would be all of the following:
• An in-depth knowledge and understanding of social media and how it works for business purposes.
• Some previous PR or marketing experience,
• Ability to effectively research and report back on projects to the Director over email.
• A creative, unique and left-field approach and not afraid to brainstorm and present new ideas!
• Excellent English writing skills
