Vital Youth has partnered up with business partner Ad2One to create 12 amazing youth volunteering opportunities April 2013!
What will I do as a volunteer?
You will play an important role within a production team of 12 volunteers. You will work alongside digital professionals, who will act as your mentors, to produce a digital product for your client - Ad2One.What will my role be?
Your role within the production team will depend on your interests and skills, as well as on the needs of your client Ad2One.
What will I produce?
While gaining digital industry experience and skills, you will produce a range of digital products for your client, including a film and set of publicity photos. Ad2One are also looking to recruit paid interns (£200pw) through this scheme to work across their business and help build a youth website.
Qualifications:
Who can be a volunteer?
For this programme you must be a Westminster resident who is 16 – 24 and not in education or employment. Everyone from school leavers to graduates welcome.
You don’t have to have previous experience but interest or skills in any of the following would be an advantage:
• Film making
• Photography
• Finance
• Sales and customer service
• Marketing and Communications
• Web or app design
• Youth or community work
How long will the volunteering go on for?
Your team will work together for 2 weeks, 5 days a week, 3-4 hours a day.
What will this lead to?
During your two weeks with us, we will support you with finding a job, internship, additional training or an apprenticeship.
• We have 6 paid digital internships (£200 per week) coming up with Ad2One
• We have places to offer on a BTEC first diploma in Digital skills in September
• We will be working with other employers to create guaranteed interviews for jobs and apprenticeships
• We will offer you the chance to gain an Arts Award and functional skills qualifications (if you need to boost your educational CV)
• You can book one to ones with our careers advisor, if you need help with looking for work or building your CV
When and where is it?
You will be based in Westminster and the scheme starts April 2013 (more details will be given on enquiry)
