This is an exciting opportunity to learn how the systems of Bill creation in Congress works while assisting in defending a commercially viable Botanical.

We need three interns in in Sandy Springs, GA, two in Richmond, VA, and one in San Diego, CA. You will be working closely with four CEOs who are current board members of this organization. You will be helping them coordinate information to the group members and hired lobbyists.

This is an unpaid intern position for the Botanical Legal Defense (BDL).

WHO ARE WE

The BDL is a not-for-profit Botanical Education and Advocacy Group for plants that are commercially endangered due to a lack of accurate, factual scientific education. Currently, the BDL is working with lobbyists, scientists, and drug policy makers to ensure that Mitragyna Speciosa, a plant from the coffee family, is not confused with a narcotic and remains a legal dietary supplement.

Qualifications:

YOUR ROLE

Manage social media and manage databases in the form of excel spreadsheets to keep an accurate schedule of members.
Keep abreast of the Bills currently in the Congress Houses schedule.
Reaching out to lobbyists, the transnational institute, and other organizations that can further our message and cause.
Assist in the creation of marketing material.
Keep track of donations through our accounting system.

REQUIREMENTS

Please include at least two writing samples these could be emails, letters, and articles. Must be familiar with Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter. Ability to use excel as an expert user.
