Savvy Ladies is a 501(c)(3) non-profit dedicated to empowering women through financial education. The organization was founded in 2003 and has helped over 10,000 women get on their feet financially and live the life they deserve. We are currently seeking an Intern who can provide support in the following areas: Event Planning/Event Management, Administration, and Marketing/Social Media. The internship is full time, 9 am 5 pm Monday to Friday. Ideally, we would like a 6-12 months commitment. The intern will receive a $750 monthly stipend and can also receive college credit. Our lovely offices are located near Wall Street.

Qualifications:

Strong organization and time management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong multi-tasking abilities
Strong attention to detail
Proficient in Microsoft Office (not exclusive)
Photoshop preferred but not required

Additional Info:
Reports to the Executive Director and Director of Development. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to) the following:

Programming/Event Management: Assist Director in the planning and management of all functions, seminars, webinars, hotlines, workshops, retreats, conferences, meetings and fundraisers. These activities include (but are not limited to): vendor research, on-site/online coordination including location, transportation and catering arrangements, event theme & creative development, proactively acquiring and managing product sponsorship, organizing the calendar of events, updating all channels for listing events and recruiting appropriate event speakers.

Administrative: Coordinate and manage volunteers and their tasks, update databases, maintain spreadsheets, email communication, issue and file donation receipts, open and file mail, scan documents and checks, bank deposits, order office/event supplies, write thank you notes, etc.

Marketing/PR & Social Media/Web: Assist Director in all marketing activities including (but not limited to) updating of all social media outlets, designing and executing online marketing campaigns via the website, monthly newsletter, social media and constant contact e-blasts. Create special event and programming flyers, advertisements, and other promotional materials. Update and maintain website including event calendar, homepage sliders and blog. Write press pitches and press releases, as well as organize press/media interviews. Manage communication with reporters, editors and producers. Update and maintain media contacts for securing feature articles in local and national press, TV, internet and radio.
