The Egami Summer Internship program is an intense 3-month internship that will challenge, motivate, inspire and educate through real-life work experiences and exercises. The program will select 3 interns who will fulfill the following roles:
1. Egami marketing and social media
2. Digital content creator
3. Account Assistant

As an EGAMI intern you will be required to engage in a number of activities where you will gain exposure to various EGAMI internal networkings such as:
• Career development sessions
• Mentoring
• Company events
• Client/Account work
• And more…

Once selected as an intern you will be given a real-life client where you will work as a team to research and develop a Marketing/PR plan that is SMART (Specific, Measurable, Relevant and Timely) which you will present and deliver as part of a team to the CCO and COO of EGAMI. This exercise will culminate your internship with us and will be a final representation of your work and experience while with us.

This program is intended to provide you with hands-on experience in a real-time, fast paced corporate environment as we are seeking 2-3 interns to fill one of each of the following roles:

Position 1:
Role: Egami Marketing and Social Media Intern
Egami is currently seeking an intern with office experience to help cross-functionally with a number of our marketing initiatives. This intern will also be tasked with furthering our social media marketing efforts.

- Assist Egami marketing coordinator and social media strategist with company-specific programs and events
- Assist in creating Egami social media posting schedule
- Update all Egami social media platforms daily
- Assist with communications plans and ideas for promoting Egami
- Assist with CEO brand marketing initiatives
- Create media lists for target outlets
- Conduct media research and develop internal news documents

Position 2
Role: Digital Storyteller Internship
Egami is currently seeking an intern with experience in videography, film production, video editing software and/or other digital media to work closely with our new Digital Storytelling program, currently in its pilot phase.

• Planning online content, videos and photo development
• Researching and producing useful data on a variety of topics, including: Marketing trends, Communications, PR, Multicultural news, hot topics and entertainment, etc.
• Assist Account Supervisor with creating interesting video content for clients and Egami programs and social media platforms
• Writing and editing content for the Egami news blog
• Ability to assist in writing memorable scripts for first Egami online series for YouTube

Position 3
Role: Account Management Intern
Egami is currently seeking an intern with office experience to assist the account managers and account supervisors to tasks pertaining to client program activations:

Tasks Include:
• Writing press releases
• Creating media lists
• Industry research
• Media outreach
• Attend client meetings and calls
• Administrative duties such as budgeting, billing and activity reports

The typical day for an intern can include any of the following:
• Write and distribute basic materials including pitch letters, news releases, backgrounders, fact sheets, bios, newsletters, prepared remarks and standby statements
• Create and maintain media lists
• Handle routine media inquiries
• Monitor media to report coverage that affects the Client’s business
• Handle basic research of Client’s business and industry to maintain a current
knowledge base
• Develop relationships with external audiences (media, third-party constituencies, etc.) to convey the Client’s message
• Help secure media interviews
• Coordinate specific events and promotions for the Client
• Assist in account administration duties such as billing and activity reports
• Work with internal service departments, external vendors, news media, outside agency partners and other account staff members at Cohn & Wolfe to service the Client
• Research industry trends, headlines, top stories in the news


Our Internship requirements:

• Must be for academic credit (Your school MUST approve your internship with us in order to be considered for the program)
• You must be a Junior, Senior, Grad Student or recent graduate who can work 2-3 days per week from June 2nd, 2014 – August 29th, 2014
• Possess strong written, verbal and research skills
• Preferred Major or Degree/Program concentrations: Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Social Media, Journalism/Mass Communications, Film, Digital Production, Editing, Graphics Specialist, Social Media, Internet Marketing
• Have a mastery of Microsoft Office applications
• Basic social media skills and knowledge
• Have a brain that never stops thinking about how to get things done
• Have a full understanding of social media platforms and digital applications
• The drive and willingness to work hard and to go beyond
• But most of all - be creative!
