Studmuffin NYC is a men’s and women’s streetwear line based out of the East Village in New York City. Studmuffin NYC creates hip, downtown, ‘LOOK AT ME’ fashion for those who like to stand out, with our main focus being heavily studded and spiked garments, but not limited to our screen printed tank tops, t-shirts, sweatshirts, hoodies and custom hats as well. The company is looking for someone to assist the founder, who has interest in the world of down town fashion and creating custom, one of a kind, unique style. He/she needs to have the capability and drive to deal with a multitude of business aspects and should possess organization and development skills to help build the brand. A strong interest in fashion, and fashion startups is a must.

We are looking for someone who can commit around 15 hours per week. This is not a paid position, however, school credit will be offered. The position is based out of the East Village in a laid back environment with the possibility to work from home on certain days.

Qualifications:

Requirements
Applicants MUST have the following qualifications:
• Must live in New York area
• Basic sewing/ sewing machine skills
• Excellent Writing Skills
• Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest Twitter Proficient
• Proficient in Excel and Math skills
• Photoshop Proficient
• Fashion, PR, Marketing majors or a background of working in fashion.

Responsibilities
--Facilitating the founder running company effectively
--Research solutions to problems.
--Assist in product design, studding, spiking, basic sewing and finishing of garments.
--Support with company PR needs, assisting with press releases or other media marketing materials.
-- Assist with creation and updating of social media posts (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, etc.)
--Assist with shipping, receiving, stylist pulls, local showroom pick-ups, drop offs and other essential errands.
