Description:
Mentors become a part of the youths therapeutic treatment team and work closely with the therapist to help the youth reach their goals.Volunteer mentors spend approximately 2-4 hours per week with youth that are in mental health treatment services for emotional or behavioral issues. Mentors work to develop a trusting and caring relationship with the youth with the goal of assisting the youth to identify and modify certain behaviors, increase awareness, and self-esteem.
Qualifications:
must be at 21 years old
reliable transportation
valid car insurance
clean driving record
