Jae Digital Image designs and manufactures textile designs for a broad range of consumers in various industries. We work with independent artists as well as apparel, home decor, commercial companies. Jae Digital Image is a subsidiary group of Fabric Avenue.

During the internship period, he or she will work on hands on projects and gain a comprehensive understanding of the textile print and design business. He or she will have the opportunity to manage projects and relationships with key clients. This role requires a highly motivated person to assist in the development of artwork and patterns for textile dye sublimation digital printing. Skills in artwork design, raster and vector based patterns and garment manufacturing is a plus.

Responsibilities

Research and create original prints and graphics
Color matching - Strong eye for color
Learn to match colors to printer to help create seasonal color palettes and stories
Help organize and maintain color, print, and print fabric libraries
Create print repeats
Prepare and create artwork for printing
Organize inspiration, print, and color materials
Help create seasonal presentation boards for color, print, and trend
Strong Photoshop and Illustrator skills a must
Learn to print using dye sublimation digital print machine

Qualifications:

2-3 days per week
Proficiency in Photoshop and Illustrator
Must be highly organized and able to multitask
At least 2-3 years of graphic design experience
Textile experience is a plus
Ability to create unique and compelling graphics and prints
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Ability to prioritize within deadlines
Bachelors Degree or enrolled in college
