Description:

The ideal candidate will demonstrate creative thinking, increase brand awareness and must be able to work at least 10 hours/week. This is an unpaid position. To be considered, applicants must be in college. Academic credits are offered, if applicable.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with the Communications Team and design clear engaging content. This will include creating press releases, monitoring social media trends, email newsletters and web content (blog) writing.

-Interact with social media followers
-Update cover images and profile pictures
-Create strategies to increase followers and interactions
-Help organize media library
-Field customer/followers questions and requests
-Utilize social media tools to monitor trending topic
-Find areas of opportunity, jumping into trending conversations
-Assist with set up, traffic and launch digital media campaigns
-Find new media opportunities

Qualifications:

-Enrolled in university or college (marketing, communications or public relations major preferred)
-Strong writing experience highly preferred
-Basic understanding of social media tools and principles
-Ability to work independently, collaborate with teammates and fully deliver on all commitments to meet deadlines
-Strong analytic and problem solving skills
-Experience with Adobe Creative Suite a plus but not mandatory ·
-Familiarity with Buffer, Hootsuite or similar tools
-Knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, google+,Linkedin,Periscope, Blogger, Tumblr, Vox or Xanga,Flickr,Vimeo,Youtube,Buffer,Pinterest or other websites
-Must possess unrestricted work authorization
-Must possess your own computer with reliable internet service
