Camerican is currently seeking an energetic and motivated intern to assist our QA team in ensuring compliance of various safety programs to customer requirements, internal requirements, third party standards and regulatory standards.

This opportunity will provide students with a related career interest and a food related academic background, the opportunity to apply knowledge gained in the classroom to a business environment that provides a meaningful practical hands-on experience across the areas of quality assurance. Through assigned duties, the intern will have the opportunity to positively impact a number of food safety, quality, and efficiency initiatives.

Responsibilities:
• Develop an understanding of quality regulations, compliance and programs.
• Develop an understanding of food safety programs and systems.
• Assist with the completion of all customer surveys and audit forms
• Assist with providing formal responses to Customer Compliance Requests
• Assist with the collection and input of data into systems
• Conduct product evaluations in a bench kitchen/lab environment.

Qualifications:

• Junior or Senior currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Food Science or related field or first year Graduate student
• Extremely detail oriented, efficient and flexible
• Strong technical skills; proficiency with MS Office
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
