Company/Organization: Responsive Law

Description:

Consumers for a Responsive Legal System (“Responsive Law”) is seeking interns for the 2021-22 academic year.

Responsive Law is a national, nonprofit advocacy organization that works to improve accessibility, accountability, and affordability in the civil justice system. We advocate for more competition in the provision of legal services, better self-help options for the legal systems customers, and improved legal literacy for those customers.

Interns will work directly with the Executive Director and will engage in policy research in support of our advocacy efforts before state legislatures, bar associations, and supreme courts.

Interns who are available over 30 hours per week may intern for a single semester or for the entire academic year. Interns who are available less than 30 hours per week are expected to intern for the entire academic year, and should be available at least 16 hours per week. Specific hours are flexible. Responsive Law is willing to work with students to receive course credit.

We allow interns to work remotely or in-person, but prefer interns who are able to work in person with us in Washington, D.C.

Applicants should send a resume and letter of interest by email to interns@responsivelaw.org. For more information about the organization and its advocacy, visit www.responsivelaw.org.
