CEED SUMMER INTERN - EVENT AND COMMUNICATIONS

CEED is seeking an enthusiastic, creative, and organized Event and Communications Intern, who will work with the CEED Global team and report to the Learning and Impact Manager. The Intern will support CEED’s new Global Leaders Talk initiative on both the technical and communications side. The Intern will have the opportunity to shape CEED’s communications strategy and work on interesting side projects related to supporting entrepreneurs in emerging markets and measuring their impact.

This intern will be expected to commit 15-25 hours per week and will work remotely for the duration of the internship. The start date and duration of the internship can be flexible. The internship is unpaid.

ESSENTIAL INTERNSHIP FUNCTIONS:

Support CEED Global staff in planning, marketing, and executing virtual events designed for CEED’s community of over 3,000 entrepreneurs.
Analyze CEED’s existing communications platforms, recommend strategic communications refresh, and implement these changes.
Create blog posts, web content, and marketing materials to promote CEED’s impact and expand its reach.

Qualifications:

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS:

To succeed in this role, you’ll need to have:

Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, international development, or another related field
Ability to work well independently and function effectively as part of a geographically dispersed team
Ability to take on diverse tasks and manage many priorities simultaneously
Excellent writing, presentation, and copy-editing skills
Experience working on international programs, especially in role/s that involved data collection among entrepreneurs and/or small and medium sized enterprises
Strong problem-solving skills and a track record of adapting in response to opportunities and challenges
A self-starter with professional maturity, attention to detail and a team player
It is a bonus if you also bring:

Master’s level degree in international development, communications, marketing, or related field
Experience with impact investing, social media, and/or policy advocacy
Experience with Salesforce, Pardot, Video editing software, Webinar platforms, and/or Microsoft Teams.
Interest in monitoring and evaluation, impact measurement, or data analysis.
