Founded in 2007, our constantly growing website has 3 main focuses: 1) Long-Term apartment rentals 2) Lifestyle services to help people move to and enjoy BCN and 3) sharing our hard-earned insider knowledge of the city in our daily blog The Barcelona Bible. Our office is located right in the centre of the city, just one block away from Paseo de Gracia & Diagonal. We’re an extremely young and international group. Focus: Do you use facebook, twitter, and regularly read & write blogs? Have you used social media not just privately but for marketing purposes? Then we have a great internship opportunity for you.
• Positioning SuiteLife as an online brand.
• Helping to form new (and implementing existing) online marketing strategies.
• Helping to strategically optimize the website in order to be more search engine friendly and attract more of our target market.
• You will have 2 junior interns that you will be responsible to manage and to delegate many tasks to.
• It’s a great opportunity to learn how to lead a team and manage daily social media tasks.
• You will learn all about the powerful world of online marketing as well as our core business, which is real estate, and be able to watch the immense impact your work makes in a quickly growing small company.

Important: This is not a regular internship. Successful applicants will be treated as part of our team. Their ideas will be listened to and they will be encouraged to pursue their individual passions in order to help the company as a whole. They will not be required to deliver coffee, make tea, or engage in other mindless activities that are common practice in large companies. Applicants will learn new things each day and gain meaningful and practical work experience in this mutually beneficial relationship.

Daily Tasks:
• Developing, implementing and monitoring social media strategies.
• Extending our social media presence (including, but not limited to, Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, the blogosphere, etc…)
• Community management.
• Conducting SEO projects.
• Creating Adwords Campaigns.
• Writing articles (in English) on all kinds of interesting topics in relation to Barcelona.
• Writing traffic and results reports in order to gain perspective on our efforts and further enhance them.
• Developing relationships with bloggers/link building.
• Researching trends and emerging platforms and tools.
• Coordinating content updates to website & email campaigns
• Much much more… Each of our past Interns has developed tremendous experience and knowledge of our company and industry, and has become a crucial part of the SuiteLife Team.

Qualifications:

Desired Qualifications:
• Marketing minded (especially an affection for online marketing)
• Knowledge and/or strong interest in online marketing, SEM, Web 2.0.
• Interest in SEO, social media marketing and general optimization of websites and traffic generation.
• Familiarity with major social media platforms and trends.
• Strong Analytical skills (traffic analysis with Google Analytics).
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Creative & Hardworking.
• Fluent English/ Strong writing skills in English.
• Knowledge of Spanish a Big +.
• Eager to be involved in a small but rapidly growing company where the team comes first.
• Must have access to a laptop computer.

Renumeration:
This internship is not paid ‘monetarily’, but you will receive tremendous value and experience because of the following:

• The constant ability to follow your specific passions in live and develop them further by contributing in those areas to the team.
• We will give you advice and support regarding: relocation, flat finding tips and advice, mobile phones, and bank accounts.
• Ability to earn university credit for your time here.

Time Requirements:
Working hours: 10 am – 7 pm, Monday to Friday
Preferred internship length is 6 – 12 months starting as early as mid August - early September, 2010
