1000 Shillings, is a start-up social enterprise that works with impoverished women artisans around the world, giving their products an international market, a platform for women to tell their stories and seed capital for women to start their own businesses. Read more at www.1000Shillings.com

The internship involves writing, blogging and producing multimedia for www.1000Shillings.com. Candidates should have a proven aptitude for writing and web-journalism skills. This internship can be used to build your personal portfolio or for school credit, and can be done remotely.

This position can be done remotely and hours are negotiable. We will be telling the stories of women in Uganda, Nepal, Mexico, and the United States this year.
