The Animal Care intern will have a hands-on learning experience working with our Animal Care Coordinator. This learning experience will include routine health checks, hoof/nail care, wound care, worming protocols, and other animal care opportunities depending on the needs of our residents.


Applicant must:

Be a current student in a vet tech, pre-vet, equine care, or related program
Be comfortable working closely with large animals


12-18 hours per week on a Sunday-Thursday schedule

Internships at CAS offer the unique opportunity of working at one of the countrys leading farm animal sanctuaries, and provide valuable experience for those pursuing careers in the animal protection arena.

Internships are unpaid positions and students may receive credit with their academic institutions. Candidates should be opposed to animal cruelty in all forms and support the overall mission of CAS. Vegans and vegetarians are strongly encouraged to apply. Shared housing is available for those who are accepted for a full time internship.
