Description:

In addition to providing administrative support with the daily operations of the Education Department and its staff, the Community Engagement Intern will have the opportunity to work on exciting community outreach projects throughout the season. Projects include researching and creating show dramaturgy, assisting with GIFT (Great Ideaís For Teaching) Workshops, and serving as the Assistant Coordinator for Writes of Spring, an annual creative writing program for students in grades K-12. This internship provides exposure to Florida Standards and Next Generation Sunshine State Standards, Kennedy Center Arts Integration workshops and seminars, and the development of Education Department programming. The ideal candidate will have strong researching and writing skills, an understanding of arts administration, and is comfortable working with children, teachers, and parents. Experience in editing video content is a plus. This internship is based on a 40 hour work week and the intern receives a weekly stipend to help with living expenses. The Community Engagement Internship is a season-long commitment running from September through May.

Internships are available in Costuming, Scenic, Lighting, Stage Management, Community Engagement, House Management, Marketing and Public Relations, and Development. Housing is not provided.
