Description:

The Human Resources Department at the Reuben H. Fleet Science Center is seeking interns to complete projects that will help out our non-profit organization while gaining valuable experience and boosting your resume! Candidates should be college students who are available between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. weekdays, 12 weeks minimum, 8-16 hours per week; interest Human Resources field preferred. Candidates should be in college with strong oral and written communication skills and be detail oriented; previous office experience preferred. This is an unpaid internship.

Qualifications:

- Perform clerical and administrative duties as directed by the Human Resources Manager.
- Organization and filing of personnel files.
- Data entry of personnel information into the HRIS database.
- Responsible for employee uniform inventory.
- Prepares new-hire packets and maintains adequate stock of new-hire materials.
- Responsible for applicant tracking and routing of applications and/or resumes.
- Maintains stock of all HR forms and supplies.
- Will maintain strict confidentiality related to Human Resources issues and concerns. Proprietary information is not to be discussed unless otherwise directed by HR Manager.
- Will update employment hotline on a regular bi-monthly basis.
- Tracks and files Absence Request Forms.
- Assist Volunteer Services with clerical and administrative duties.
- Other duties as assigned.
