Description:

The CRCC Asia Beijing Internship Program introduces motivated students and graduates to business culture in Beijing. CRCC Asia works with some of Beijings leading Chinese or multinational companies in Beijing, across many sectors. With a CRCC Asia work placement in Beijing, you will gain insight into the Chinese business environment and gain key transferable skills, while enjoying the many social and cultural opportunities in Beijing with fellow interns.

Qualifications:

You can expect to build the following skills during your internship, and we actively encourage companies to involve interns in as many areas of the business as possible.

* Research Skills - most companies will ask you to complete some form of research project during your internship, it could draw upon your area of expertise, or it could be a new topic. You may be exposed to new research methods and sources.
* Communications skills - You will sometimes be working as part of a multinational team on various projects and can expect your communication skills to improve, along with essential skills such as cultural sensitivity.

* Presentation skills - You may be asked to present your research, findings or opinions to your supervisor or other senior members of the company. This will build your confidence and presentation skills.

* Client exposure - We encourage companies to take interns to business meetings and to allow them to experience contact with clients. This is not guaranteed, but many of our interns come home having had this experience.

* Industry specific knowledge - Whatever sector you choose to work in, you will gain industry specific knowledge and understanding which can significantly improve future employability.

* Social skills - Outside of work hours, interns are often treated to lunches, dinners and nights out by their colleagues. Alongside new work friends, CRCC interns normally become a close group and take full advantage of all that Beijing has to offer - such as hiking trips to The Great Wall, Kung Fu classes, Chinese cooking, business networking events and group social events.

* Pre-departure advice and assistance - Our teams in the USA and the UK will take you through any preparations you need, including helping you get the right flights and ensuring that you are well prepared for your trip.

* Airport pickup - Our Beijing team will be at the airport to welcome you and take you to your accommodation. You must arrive on the correct day between 9am and 9pm local time to take advantage of this service.

* Accommodation in central Beijing - You will be accommodated in a centrally located aparthotel near the embassy district. The area is very lively, has good shopping, entertainment and is close to transport options.

* Welcome Banquet - The day after you arrive in Beijing you have a chance to meet all the other interns on your program, along with the CRCC Asia team in Beijing. Youll try authentic local food in a high quality restaurant.

* Business Etiquette Training - You will be instructed in cultural differences and company related etiquette to reduce culture shock and ensure you can build a good relationship with your supervisor and colleagues.

* Basic Language Training and Mandarin phrasebook - While you wont be fluent after just a few hours training, it is important to be able to pronounce place names and peoples names, and to learn the numbers for shopping.
