Description:

The Multimedia Department at the Reuben H. Fleet Science Center is seeking 1-2 interns to complete projects that will help out this non-profit organization while boosting your portfolio! Candidates should be college students who are available between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. weekdays, 8 weeks minimum, 5 hours per week minimum; Art and Design majors preferred. Candidates should be outgoing with strong oral and written communication skills; some previous office experience preferred.

Interns will complete a variety of assignments, including:

 Design and prepare illustrations, Flyers, Brochures, Posters and photographic work for other departments.
 Assist in Design and producing banners and signage for other departments.

Qualifications:

 Completed design portfolio.
 Arts and design students preferred.
 Previous office experience helpful.
 Strong oral and written communication skills.
 Reliable, punctual, honest and friendly.
 Must be available to intern for 5 hours minimum per week.

Knowledge of any of the following software is extremely helpful: System 9.2 MacOS, Photoshop 6, Illustrator 9, Pagemaker 6.52, QuarkXPress 4, Macromedia FREEHAND 10, Flexisign, Word, Excel. Some knowledge of Web programming helpful – GoLive 5.0.
