HitFix is seeking strong researcher and strategic thinker to join our team this summer as a Research Intern. The position’s primary responsibility will be to research the competitive landscape for HitFix in key markets within Europe, Asia and South America, evaluate market conditions and opportunities/barriers to expansion on a country by country basis, and identify gaps in the market that HitFix can fill. Candidates should have excellent research skills, be creative in finding ways to obtain required information and must be able to present findings in a clear and concise way to both direct manager and executive team members. The ideal candidate will be passionate about entertainment and have some experience in international markets (no foreign language skills required).

In addition to researching international expansion opportunities and competitive landscape, other responsibilities will include investigating new ways to improve and expand HitFix in the US as well as assisting on special projects.

This is a telecommuting job, but will require periodic meetings in the East Bay with a supervisor and other interns.

Qualifications:

- Excellent research and creative thinking/writing skills
- Web savvy and experienced doing in-depth web research
- Experienced with Microsoft Office – Word, Excel and Powerpoint
- Must have access to your own computer
- Self-starter and ability to work independently or with little supervision
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
