HitFix is seeking a creative and strategic thinker to join our team this summer as a Marketing Intern. The position’s primary responsibility will be to develop new and better ways for HitFix to reach 18-24 year old adults on and off college campuses. Part of the summer will be spent developing a plan to engrain HitFix on college campuses and the rest of the summer will be spent executing that plan at a few Bay Area schools.

Candidates should be creative thinkers who can come up with an idea, develop specific ways to implement it, and put it into action. The ideal candidate will be a marketing or business major, have a strong understanding of the web & mobile and is passionate about entertainment.

This is a telecommuting job, but will require periodic meetings in the East Bay with a supervisor and other interns.

Responsibilities:

• Review of HitFix.com and its competitors
• Marketing HitFix on Bay Area college campuses
• Investigating new ways to market or expand HitFix
• Assisting on special projects

Qualifications:

• Excellent research, copywriting, creative thinking/writing skills.
• Web savvy and experienced with social networking sites (Facebook, YouTube, FourSquare, Twitter)
• Experienced with Microsoft Office – Word, Excel and Powerpoint
• Must have access to your own computer
• Self-starter and ability to work independently or with little supervision
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

unpaid with $500 potential bonus
