Position Summary:
Successfully produces conceptualization of ideas to create original art used in the development of electronic and print projects. Maintains and applies advanced design skills and a broad knowledge of current design and production techniques. Offers multifaceted conceptual design and production solutions to internal and external customers based on strategies in relation to client business needs. Manages and oversees complex design projects from concept through production, effectively prioritizes and assigns work, and balances multiple priorities simultaneously, and plans and schedules resources to meet client commitments and deadlines. Located in San Diego, the Graphic Design Intern will report to the Art Director.

Essential Job Duties:
• Will be working with the Art Director and clients to choose an effect design solution that is deliverable in allotted time and within budget requirements.
• Maintains expertise with graphics software tools, proficiency in firm standard equipment required of the position, including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat, Flash, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
• Advanced knowledge for troubleshooting technical issues in graphic files for pre-press and printing — linking graphics, including fonts and creating color separations.
• Fundamental knowledge for troubleshooting technical issues in electronic files for web and on screen viewing — graphic linking, file size, venue execution.
• Thinks strategically to relate design work to the client’s business needs.
