Web Product Copywriter Internship

Musclegenic Research LLC (www.musclegenic.com) is a growing internet retail and marketing company, and it is currently seeking a talented, results-driven Web Product Copywriter Intern to join its team. The successful candidate will be given the opportunity to contribute directly to its growth and will be expected to do so and to have fun doing it. This person will be responsible for web product copy, image manipulation, and product merchandising. During the internship, he or she will be given the opportunity to work closely with its managers and with its Sales/Marketing Department. This internship is a 6-12 month unpaid opportunity; however, in addition to on-the-job training, work experience, job reference, and college credit, it may lead to a part-time or full-time employment afterward depending on the company’s growth and needs and on the person’s availability, productivity, and ability to work well with the team.

The ideal candidate should have a strong desire to learn more about online retail, strong computer skills and knowledge of internet marketing concepts, and strong attention to detail. We are looking for energetic, entrepreneurial individuals to bring new ideas to our company.

Position Description:

. Create unique product descriptions and website content in consistent writing style
. Research new products on the internet to find all information needed to give our customers the ideal shopping experience
. Research and analyze the performance of categories and promotions
. Assist with competitive analysis
. Merchandise categories and products on website
. Answer incoming phone calls

Qualifications:

Qualifications:

. College junior or senior majoring in English or marketing preferred
. Local candidates and strong candidates in other locations preferred
. Enthusiastic internet user with significant knowledge in online retail is a plus
. Strong analytical and writing skills
. Strong Microsoft Office computer skills (e.g., Excel, Word)
. Comfortable working under deadlines
. Responsible self-starter, innovative thinker, and detail-oriented

Preferred Skills:

. Basic HTML skills
. Adobe Creative Suite skills
. Blogging, social media, or social networking experience is a plus
. Customer service experience is a plus
