Public Affairs Intern
Description:
•Participate in grassroots community organizing and education campaigns
•Foster relationships with community organizations
•Work to expand PPSP’s presence at local colleges
•Recruit and coordinate clinic advocacy and volunteer outreach
•Will work with Online Advocacy Manager, Grassroots Manager, Public Affairs Directors, and Vice President of Public Affairs as needed
•Administrative work is involved in all internships
Qualifications:
•Commitment to goals and mission of Planned Parenthood Shasta Pacific
•Excellent communication skills – both written and oral
•Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
•Ability to work independently and as a team member
•Interest in the legislative and electoral side of the reproductive health issues
•Experience in grassroots organizing, volunteer recruitment, and/or community engagement
Hours:
10 hours per week
