Social Media Intern
Description:
WildAid seeks a social media intern to join our growing non-profit organization located in our San Francisco office.
Intern work hours are 10am-4pm Monday thru Thursday. Hours within this timeframe are flexible, however a minimum of twelve hours per week is preferred. Stipend offered.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Intern will be responsible for:
Generating original content, in the form of micro-blogs (Tweets, FB updates) and long-form blogs (WordPress) relating to our campaigns and our overall mission, with limited guidance.
Identifying and connecting with key social media influencers around the web
Staying on top of social media trends, new technologies and tools, and innovative campaignsTracking and documenting social media analytics, mentions, growth rate, and traffic patterns
Manage multiple strategic Google AdWords campaigns
Qualifications:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Creativity a must - bring new ideas to the table
• Relevant experience in multiple social media channels
• Familiarity with multiple analytics tools such as Google Analytics and Facebook Inisghts
• Previous experience with blogging, social media and online campaigns or grass root activities
• Research and organizational skills, especially a high proficiency with Excel
• Strong oral and written skills
• Demonstrated excellence in writing and editing on the Web
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of HTML, advanced design skill is a definite plus
• Multitasker, team player, deadline-driven, self-starter
