Interested in using your skills to promote the growing industry of self-directed IRAs? The Entrust Group seeks a smart, savvy, and detail-oriented New Media and Communications Intern to support its mission of advancing education for self-direction nationwide.

The range of work will include:

• Researching new media communication opportunities in our field
• Identify key stakeholders in the industry and explore ways to increase the distribution of content
• Submits press releases or related articles to media outlets for news stories and editorial coverage
• Creates PR contacts, researches and maintains PR directory regionally and nationwide
• Researches and submits speaking opportunities, interviews, workshops, etc. nationally via multiple communication channels
• Monitors our cloud and filters opportunities to appropriate individuals
• Coordinates with the Marketing Team to synchronize efforts for communications on campaign launches
• Ensure successful execution and effectiveness of social media strategies for all campaigns
• Recommends and drives the adoption of relevant and new social media tools as part of the business ongoing communication objectives
• Tracks company and industry social media trends
• Tracks all PR and communication efforts
• Pitches new communication/PR ideas to the Director of Marketing regularly

Qualifications:

• Working on Journalism, Business Administration or Communication major
• Demonstrated experience with at least 2 major social networking tools and has a familiarity with search engine optimization strategies
• Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication/presentation skills
• Has a real passion for the art of communications
• Highly organized
• Knowledge in communications/social media (including public relations and/or marketing communications)
• Knowledge of new media and innovative ways to communication with audiences
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail, and with a positive attitude
• Creative thinker with proactive problem-solving skills
• Previous experience submitting press releases and pitching to the media a plus
