Sharingpet is looking for an intern to join our growing team as an Event Coordinator!

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

·       Responsible for execution of contracts for all event-related external vendors, in compliance with Sharingpet internal finance department requirements.
·       Manages a number of vendor relationships including, but not limited to: printers, collateral (swag), apparel vendors, venue and entertainment vendors.
·       Ensures all legal, financial and contractual obligations are met and the best interest of Sharingpet is always served.
·       Coodinates with all internal Sharingpet interest groups in support of Sharingpet events and cultural activities.
·       With the direction from the CEO, plans, organizes, coordinates, promotes and facilitates special events including: Non-profits orientations, company meetings, virtual adoption events, speaker series, small concerts, outdoor recreational pet activities, conferences and other events.

Qualifications:

·       Excellent communicator and writer.
·       Deadline driven.
·       Nimble and willing to work until the job gets done.
·       With assistance, develop project budgets and monitor expenditures.
·       Coordinate and monitors event timeline.
·       Light design work and editing of materials.
·       Previous experience in procurement, journalism, public relations, event planning and/or writing is a plus. Major coursework in English, journalism, communications, marketing or related field preferred.
