THINK PR INTERN
The internship program is designed to aid in building the leaders of tomorrow in the Public Relations field. Interns are given the opportunity to have firsthand experience in the industry.
Our goal is to foster a cooperative learning process for our interns by not only allowing them to be observers, but participants. The intensity of the atmosphere and the program gives aspiring public relations representatives’ first-hand experience with working at a full-service PR firm. Considering that THINK PR is a small business which conducts large scale ventures, interns will actually be a part of crafting projects from the conception stage to the realization stage. THINK PR works very closely with its clients. The structure of the company allows interns to become familiar with our clients and build professional relationships with them. We hope interns will identify with potential mentors on both a public relations level as well as an entrepreneurial level.
The rewards that an intern can receive upon being a part of this team are treasures that will be carried with them throughout their career. While the internship is unpaid, the experience cannot be matched financially.
-Must be very detail oriented and have impeccable writing, phone skills
-Must work well in a team environment
-Must have a firm understanding of what PR is about
-Must have an internship in PR completed
-Must be enthusiastic and self-motivated
-Candidate will attend client meetings, so must have clear communication skills
minimum three months
-Clipping and mocking press clips for clients
-Managing sample closet
-Coordinating sample send outs and returns to both media and celebrities
-Updating Los Angeles media, wardrobe and celebrity databases on an ongoing basis
-Drafting press releases and media alerts
-Assist in planning and executing special events (parties, fashion shows, etc.)
