Business Development Intern - Mobile Apps

The InMobi Business Development team drives the company’s partnerships with global and regional publishers, and is directly responsible for the growth and quality of its mobile advertising network. A significant part of our publishers are mobile app developers (think advertising within Angry Birds). We are looking for a rock star intern who can help us identify app developers that we should be working with, secure relationships with those developers, and perhaps even teach us a thing or two about how we should do business!

Internships at InMobi are a phenomenal way to get exposure to the mobile and digital media industries. We are a non-hierarchical company, and as an intern, you will participate in our team meetings, represent InMobi at conferences and events, and be responsible for signing partnerships. You will have direct ownership and goals from the very first week, and we will give you as much rope as you can handle. You will be mentored by the best people on our team, so that you can achieve the goals we set for you. Our best interns get offers to continue full-time at the company.

Qualifications:

-Analyze app developer data from various sources (e.g. iTunes App Store, Google Play, and third party providers) to identify and prioritize potential partners for InMobi.
-Reach out to hundreds of app developers each month (via email, phone calls, and in-person meetings) and convince them to partner with InMobi. Understand InMobi’s products and answer customers’ questions about them.
-Work with other members of the InMobi team to ensure that the partners you sign up are satisfied with InMobi.

About You:
-You are fascinated by smartphones and mobile apps, and are excited to understand the underlying ecosystem and technologies. Perhaps you have even toyed with the idea of building your own mobile app.
-You are not afraid of approaching an unknown person for business and are creative in finding ways to get their attention. You LOVE the feeling of making a successful sale.
-You know that a good salesperson focuses as much on housekeeping as on sales. -You are extremely organized, like keeping records, and are able to prioritize your time effectively.
-You are analytical, and are curious about technology and economics. You like to understand how things work and how businesses make money. When you don’t know, you ask questions or turn to the internets for answers.
-You are self-motivated. You are comfortable coming up with and pitching ideas
-You enjoy working on a team and winning as a team.
-You are fanatical about achieving the goals you signed up for.
