Prehistoric Inc. is currently looking to add a member to the team who is skilled in public relations, social media, and customer service.

This team member must be able to articulately share their interest and passion for reptile education through blogging and daily posts across influential social media outlets. When a mastery of these skills is proven there are several opportunities for increased public relations responsibilities within the company.

While on-site, this position will also involve face to face customer interaction at the hands-on booth inside The Reptile Zoo. Here your responsibly will be providing the utmost customer service and encouraging guests to enjoy all aspects The Reptile Zoo has to offer. As part of the unique hands-on interaction Prehistoric Inc. offers its customers reptiles, amphibians, and bugs are handled on a regular basis. All staff must have (or acquire) a basic knowledge of these animals and be able to maintain their composure while handling.

Additionally this position has the opportunity for growth representing Prehistoric Inc. and its subsidiaries at various special events across Southern California. This position requires individuals with reliable transport carrying a valid CA driver’s license and a great driving record. Because of the nature of special events, availability on Saturday and Sunday is a must.

Qualifications:

Personality: Creative, Professional, Self Motivated, Outgoing

Technical Proficiency: Blogging, Facebook, Twitter & YouTube, Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook 2010, Adobe Photoshop CS4, Canon Digital SLR

Experience: Would prefer someone pursuing a degree in Public Relations or at least 1 year similar work experience. Open to exceptions based on ability.
