Smile TV is a brand new, fast-growing Internet-based, news formatted TV program that features only positive stories that make you smile. We are a fun crew looking for Web-Based Journalism Interns who are interested in researching, writing and submitting written stories for Smile TV. You will also be working on our newsletter and scripts for our news shows.

If you are a self-starter, multi-tasker and skilled in journalism with a uniquely positive and fun style of writing and communicating and you want that exceptional opportunity to help launch your career, this may be the answer for you.

You will be expected to research and write about a wide range of topics, including but not limited to animals, humanitarian causes, environment, kids, family, entertainment, sports, politics, and more. The hours are fairly flexible but you will have monthly deadlines.

Responsibilities:

-Research and writing of: Newsletter, Blogs, Smile Stories, Hosting Scripts, and News Articles

This is currently an unpaid internship but has potential to become a paid future position. You will receive hands-on experience for your resume and school credit if so desired.

Qualifications:

-Excellent writing/research/grammar skills
-Experience and knowledge writing stories, articles, blogs, social media, scripts, internet-related content, and web copy.
-Keen eye for details, must be well organized with an ability to prioritize and proactively offer solutions.
-Basic knowledge of managing web content is a plus!
-Knowledge of MailChimp is preferred, but we can train you if necessary.
-Positive attitude, enthusiasm and a sense of humor
