Description:

The Membership Intern will work closely with the Interim Executive Director to create and implement strategies for recruiting new members as well as retaining current members. This detail-oriented individual must have the ability to develop ways of highlighting the benefits of being a member of Lambda Archives. This internship will give the intern valuable real-world experience in attracting members to an organization. The Intern is considered an integral part of the Lambda Archives and as such, their ideas and input will be highly-valued. The intern will work at least 10 hours per week during each semester/quarter. These hours may be worked in any combination at the discretion of the intern with supervisor approval.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Research potential members using best practices
• Develop membership contact lists
• Maintain relationships and invoice membership renewals.
• Ensure contract fulfillment throughout the established agreement terms
• Collaborate with various departments in coordinating necessary logistics
• Coordinate, manage, track, and evaluation all membership and renewal activities
• Updating current and potential members on upcoming events

Qualifications:

Education and Qualifications:
• Currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate degree program
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required
• Must be organized and detail-oriented
• Have the ability to work independently and present oneself in a professional
manner
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Calendars is required.
• Event planning and client management experience is preferred
