Event Planner
Description:
We are seeking several event planner volunteers who want hands on experience in the field of event planning. Our volunteers will have an opportunity to learn about the industry and use their experience to develop a professional career in the event planning business.Key responsibilities for success include:
- Creating floor plans for events
- Setting up audiovisual equipment for clients
- Assisting event planners with event logistics
- Communicating with vendors to ensure event flow
- Assisting with writing proposals
- Organizing and creating event materials, which may include name badges, registration forms, flyers, and evaluations
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word
- Flexibility in schedule due to possibility of night and weekend events
- Ability to multitask
- Work independently as well as in a team
- Well organized
- Good interpersonal skills
- Great attention to detail
- Good work ethic – must be willing to go the extra mile for clients
- Willing to engage, learn, and have fun
