Description:

Grant Writing Intern will work directly with HHCF Executives to help secure funding for the Hip-Hop Chess Federation (HHCF) a 501(c)3 Org. Intern will be responsible for creating comprehensive and compelling grant proposals, while supporting the full range of activities required to prepare, submit, and manage grant submissions to foundation and corporate sources.

This internship will give the intern valuable real-world experience, as with all our internships, this is a fully hands-on position. The intern will work at least 2 hours in hours and up to 10 hours per week (telecommuting) during the term of their internship.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Research and follow grant-writing guidelines, best practices and deadlines
- Create, write, edit grant proposals
- Create and submit letters of inquiry and effectively communicate with potential donors in a professional manner
- Maintain a record-keeping system for grants
- Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Education and Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in an accredited college or trade school
- Professional verbal and written communication skills are required
- Must be detail-oriented, the kind of if its ontime its late personality
- Have the ability to work independently and present oneself in a professional
manner
- Proficiency Google Calendars, Drive and PC programs
