Description:

We are looking for someone to assist in all areas of marketing and sales, and eventually to manage the publishing company’s marketing and PR department. The position is extremely flexible and as a startup team we are very open-minded about new ways of doing business. You would be instrumental in working to make our books and ebooks visible and easily accessible, in maximizing the potential of our iPhone apps, in deepening our relationships with local partners and the press, in launching marketing campaigns, in organizing events around the release of the upcoming books, and in finding new channels of distribution for the existing books.

Qualifications:

You are a dynamic, flexible, resourceful individual. You love to communicate and you are not afraid of being the center of attention, whether in face-to-face meetings or in the media (radio, television).
You love San Diego and are always interested in learning more about the local places of interest, bars, restaurants, local figures and characters.
You are interested in the arts, mostly visual arts, and tend to like contemporary art and design.
You are not looking for a full-time job right now, or for a temporary fix. Rather, you are interested in spending some time during the week helping to build up a long-term enterprise that lines up well with your values and ambitions.
