Addy Stevens is the author of the memoir 30 Homes in 30 Years as well as the inspiration behind AddyStevens.com, a platform for sharing inspirational ideas, stories and products of interest to modern women of all ages! The website is still in its infancy and were looking for an intern to help edit and create the weekly emails for the website, along with helping with various marketing projects including social media, advertising and PR for both Addys book and website.

This will be a 12 week internship with the possibility to continue longer or take a bigger role in the company depending on how things go. The intern will work directly with the marketing manager and the author of the book/website herself meaning this is very hands-on with a lot of room to give input and do different projects! This website is meant to be fun and we want to make sure the internship is interesting as well.

The main task will be preparing each weeks newsletter to go out on Thursday- this process will be on strict deadlines so only apply if you have time to devote during the beginning of the week. Other projects will have more flexible deadlines and can be based on your particular interests, strengths and goals.

Qualifications:

Desired skills/experience:
College Student with any Major but we prefer: English, Creative Writing, or Marketing
Great writing skills and strong command of the English Language - well want you to use both your creativity and your grammar/spelling skills to make the content perfect and fun!
Basic HTML/CSS - This will help in putting together the mail campaigns and other possible projects with the website
Photo editing skills and software to get the job done - Our content is a very image based so we want the photos to look great!
Knowledge of Social media websites including Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest - especially if youve used these sites to promote a business before
Organization and Time Management - Again there will definitely be deadlines for the newsletters, so please be able to keep up!

Added Plus:
Experience using MailChimp to send email campaigns
Experience using Wordpress for blogging and creating websites
Knowledge of SEO best practices
Graphic Design skills and/or interest - we may have you help put together graphics for the website, email and ads!
Experience doing social media marketing and PR
Your fun (and funny) personality and perhaps an included interest in topics such as home decor, travel, party planning, design, personal finance etc!
