The Workshop is a full-service brand-building “creative collective” specializing in Marketing, Public Relations, Social Media, Website & Design firm with offices in Los Angeles and Miami.We are currently seeking a SOCIAL MEDIA intern for our Los Angeles office. Our company is looking for bright, motivated self-starters who want to gain practical experience in the social media, lifestyle/entertainment and emerging brand marketing arenas.
You must have excellent people and communication skills, be professional, persuasive & personable. We depend on our interns heavily to support every facet of our endeavors.
We are specifically looking for positive, self-motivated people – attitude goes very far in our company. We need a young entrepreneur who likes to wear many hats, exemplifies a strong work ethic and LOVES social media.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, passionate about Social Media and willing to learn and be mentored by seasoned veterans in the industry.

Overview
Position reports to Account Director and focuses on social media division, but will also support the entire team on execution and follow up on projects. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Monitoring of all clients’ social media accounts
Support creation of social media strategies to build fan base, increase engagement and drive traffic
Develop content for all social media outlets
Client project execution and research
Cultivate fans on outlets like Facebook, Twitter, Google+ and others
Create promotions and campaigns to increase the team’s social media following
Assist in reporting of social media analytics and insights
Must be an ambitious multi-tasker comfortable in a fast paced environment who can stay ahead of industry trends
Assist in other media and PR efforts, such as writing and website updates
Qualifications:
Skills & Requirements
• Must have a strong command of online search techniques and be tech-savvy
• Knowledgeable with Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Pinterest, LinkedIn and other social media
channels
• Proficient in Word, Excel, and Powerpoint
• Strong writing and communication skills, team player, highly organized, strong follow through,
detail oriented
• Flexible Hours – 15 hours per week minimum
