Girls in power is looking to hire interns who are interested in pursuing a career in HR or a related field. We are looking for bright and enthusiastic individuals with a personality that can translate both in person and over the phone.
Will be asked to: be responsible in the recruiting, hiring, and managing of interns and volunteers; update intern/volunteer databases; be responsible for handling any employee issues that may be brought up, such as issues with other workers, the job itself, or even paperwork issues.
This internship is unpaid however we can provide credit for courses.
Qualifications:
Knowledge: currently studying or has studied human resources, industrial/organizational psychology, or organizational behavior; knows how to handle employee procedures such as hiring, training, etc.
Skills: skilled in employee relations and management of employees; can effectively find, hire, and train an employee to be self-sufficient in the organization.
Abilities: able to use the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); manage multiple internship databases; good interpersonal skills, tactful speaker and careful listener; maintain documents and online time card reports.
Other Characteristics: strong work ethic; self-motivated and initiates work; good communication skills, patient, and can handle employees well.Please apply only if you live in Southern California.
