Key Responsibilities:
•Assist in writing and editing of monthly newsletter
•Social media marketing efforts
•Assist with developing creative marketing strategies
•Assistance with marketing, outreach and public relations
•Creation and distribution of publicity materials
•Assistance with fund-raising activities
•Assist with special event coordination
•Complete tasks assigned by the Executive Director
•Other duties as assigned

Ideal candidate would be personable and can speak well to donors, sponsors and the general public.

Work Environment:
•Standard office environment, plus work in Mission Bay, San Diego Bay, and outdoors
•Significant telephone and computer work (repetitive movement – typing)

This is a part-time non-paid internship based in San Diego County, California. This internship program does offer college credit.

Essential Requirements:
•Belief in the value of the agency
•Excellent writing and editing skills
•Ability to multitask
•Adherence to client confidentiality policy
•The ability to communicate positively and effectively with the public
•A willingness to be flexible and help with any needed tasks
•Excellent computer skills
•Ability to work independently with little supervision

Hours:

10-15 hours/week
